Bumper book of government waste

I am currently reading the "Bumper Book of Government Waste" by Mathew Elliott and Lee Rotherham. I recommend it to anyone who has the slightest interest in where the money goes too that disappears from their pay slip every month.

The authors have assembled figures showing that every year the UK Government wastes £101 Billion pounds of our money. That's enough to fill the two largest freight ships in the world (400,000 ton vessels that are too big to go through the Panama Canal) to the brim with pound coins and still have £13 Billion left on the dockside.

Unfortunately that idea wouldn't work as there are only 1.4 billion pound coins in circulation in the entire world......

Frightening book!
