Eurovision Song Contest 2007
Compare the map above with the participants in 1957 to see how the Euro - zone has grown and Grown and GROWN in the past 50 years.
The dark green are the "Big 4" countries, that automatically qualify for the final since they pay most of the costs of the contest (Yes the UK is not only a major funder of the European Union but we also fund the Eurovision Song Contest. I hope the BBC Licence Payers are happy with that!).
Medium Green are Countries that qualified for the final due to the 2006 results. Light Green are Countries that qualified from the semi-final. Red are Countries that didn't qualify from the semi-final and Yellow are Countries that have participated in the past, but not this year * indicates Debuting countries for 2007 and † are Returning countries
